It's only been a month of school and I've already been irresponsible on all my classes. I did well on my first college test, but I'm not quite sure on the upcoming tests that I have to take this week. The main thing that I want to improve using Kaizen would be procrastinating because of all the distractions around me. At school, I would organize in my mind what I would do when I get home, but when I arrive home that plan goes straight through the trashcan. A song would suddenly pop in my mind and I would want to know how to play it in the guitar. And then my sister would ask if I want to watch Pretty Little Liars and after watching it’ll be dinnertime already. Then after supper there will be more distractions like going to the gym or going to McDonald’s for a smoothie. I could say no, but then I would tell myself there would be more time to do my homework and reading later. Until there’s actually no time at all and instead of reading, I ended up just skimming through the pages. On weekends, I don’t even think about school until Sunday night. I plan to get rid of this and enhance a good study habit through Kaizen. I would make a plan and make sure to follow it. And I would put time frames so that I know that I have time to do everything that I need to do. I would also include fun in this plan, so I have something to look forward to. However, I would not get this enjoyment unless I finish all my school works. I am hoping that this strategy would work and would develop my study habits.
