Sergey Brin’s Contributions and its Importance

Sergey Brin is the co-founder of Google. He is now the President of Technology at Google. Google is the most frequently used search engine. Sergey Brin is very good in mathematics and computer. His father was a professor in Mathematics in the University of Maryland. His parents engaged him in math and made sure he kept his Russian-language skills. Sergey Brin went to the same university where his father taught. He studied computer science and mathematics. He graduated with honors. He continued his graduate computer science in Stanford University.

He met Larry Page, who is also a co-founder of Google and now the chief executive officer of Google, during the orientation in Stanford University. They first disagreed on a lot of thing, but later on they both had the idea of Google Search engine.

Google was founded on September 1998. It was publicize on August 2004. Google’s mission statement is "to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful." Google’s growth was very rapid. It initiated partnerships to many business people who found Google very successful. Google is not only a search engine it also included online productivity software like Gmail and social networking like Google +. It also has applications like Picasa (where you can edit photos), web browser like Google chrome, and Google Talk Instant Messaging. Google also created the Android operating system that is used to many different kinds of phones like Motorola Droid and Samsung Galaxy. It also includes Google images, Google Maps (which is very useful in looking for directions, Google Earth (which lets you fly all over the world virtually and let’s you zoom in to see what the place actually looks like), Google translate, and iGoogle (which let’s you customize your Google page where you can add gadgets like the weather and games).

Now why are these contributions of Sergey Brin important? Everyone knows what Google is and everyone that has a computer who has access to an Internet have used Google. Google has the answers to most of the questions people ask. Just think about life without Google. If someone wants to know the answer to something as quickly and efficiently as possible there is no other place to go than Google.

Google Search Engine has helped a lot of people in many ways. Not only on researching for work or school, but also in earning a profit. Google is sometimes considered as a money making engine of people to pay for their living. Google search engine is used all over the world. “They process billions of search requests and they cover almost equal numbers of websites.” Google is an invention that is very useful for everyone. This reason alone makes the invention of Google by Sergey Brin and Larry Page important.
